Individual strength training

Training built around one specific person: their goals, experience and abilities.

Qualified physiotherapist

Level 1 qualified coach

Training isn't defined by a protocol. It's defined by the person doing it.

No single training program works the same for everyone. That's why I don't pick exercises because they're popular right now or because you're "supposed" to do them. Every decision should come from what we want the training to achieve and what the person in front of me can actually use.

How does the training work?

First I need to know your goals, experience, training history and where you are right now. From there we build training that makes sense for you.

For each exercise we look not only at what you're doing, but also why you're doing it and what we want from it.

Exercise choice, technique, range of motion, load, reps and tempo aren't fixed rules. They're tools we can adjust to the goal and to how you respond.

Your training changes as you do

A training plan isn't something we set once and then follow blindly.

We track performance, technique, how you respond to load, and progress. If your abilities or needs change, the training changes too.

The point isn't to keep swapping exercises. It's knowing when to change them and when not to.

My goal is a system where every training decision has a reason, and you always know what you're doing and why.

No "best exercise"

An exercise that works for one person isn't automatically the best choice for someone else. So when choosing, I consider things like:

  • what we want the training to achieve
  • what you have available and what you can perform
  • what you can tolerate
  • how much experience you have
  • how you actually respond to the exercise and the load

That's why two people with the same goal can end up training in completely different ways.

What you get

An individual approach, full attention and training built around you. During the session I focus on what you're doing. I watch your technique, performance and response to load, and make the next decisions based on that.

  • training tailored to your goal
  • individual exercise selection and adjustments
  • full attention for the whole session
  • ongoing adjustments based on how you respond on the day
  • progress tracking and evaluation
  • clear explanations of what we're doing and why

Your goals, abilities and tolerances shape the training. Not the other way around.

Experience with one-on-one clients

Experience with people of different ages, backgrounds and goals, from healthy clients to people with shoulder or lower-back pain, disc problems, after shoulder surgery, with knee arthritis and other movement limitations.
